1981-1982 Starving Artists

This band was a mess. It was all about the buzz. "What we need more beer, Again." However, They did do versions of Pere Ubu's "Non Aliment Pact" and Bill Nelson's "Revolt into Style" (not so well). Keith and Linda went on to form Ceilings Below. Keith and John hooked up years later in the Uninspired Five.

Dennis Pinozzi (Bass)

Jeff Romino (Guitar)

Linda Wilson (Keys, Vocals)

1983-1986 Ceilings Below

Ceilings Below was a bizarre and influential band in Cleveland in the mid-eighties. Ceilings recorded several times. Their only full length album was recorded on equipment that now belongs to Bones, Thugs and Harmony. Their earliest recordings were engineered by Sean Beaven who went on to work with Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Guns & Roses. Keith & Don have maintained a working relationship and still play on each other's material.

Linda Wilson (Keys, Vocals)

1986-1987 Venus Envy (& The Extended Sexual Orchestra)

Bondage, Hot Girls, Fast Cars, Rockets to the Moon, Vampires, Mystic Forests, Hot Girls, Freaky Doings, Blue Velvet, Hot Girls, Psycotronic, Snapin', Spam, Carlos Cantaneda, Ghoulardi, Dikes, LSD, Punk Rock, Black Sleep Script. Lots of hard work for 3 gigs and no recordings. Who will get the girl??? ..... Jack did! Keith and Chas later hooked up again in Einstein's Secret Orchestra.

Jack O'Patrany (Drums)

Jim Smagola (Bass)

Chas Smith (Keys, Vocals)

1988-1992 The Uninspired Five

Whoever found the first gig got to name the band. Keith got the gig. If Lou had gotten the gig, they would of been called The Influence. Let history decide which name is better. Some very low-fi stuff that was also low-grunge. The Joys of Celibacy. Lot's of recordings. Most of their work is available on Ohm releases. There are three very distint periods of this band. The first with Lou was harder and rawer. The second, was a three piece with occasional commitment from Joilet. This era is marked with some of there best studio work. The final period was with the addition of Mike Haley. This marked a period where the band rehearsed and gigged often. They were very tight and did less studio work then with previous line-ups.

1989-1991 The Jefferson Airport

A Bunch of guys with great gear making avant noise. Ya would never know when they would play or who would be playing if ya knew they were playing at all. Not all members got invited to every gig. A place to be stupid, arty, serious, confused, high or whatever the mood called for. No recordings were ever made. This was a live project. Strippers were optional. Kraftwerk meets Zorn.

Keith Kofron (Keys)

Malcolm Ryder (Keys)

Chuck Ryder (Keys)

John Walsh (Keys)

A cast of others to long to list

1991-1996 Big Krunch

Don asked Keith to sing on a few numbers he was working on and thus the project was born. The studio project evolved into a live band. Unfortunately, the project was aborted due to problems in a NASA system that was powering the project. The files are classified, listed "Top Secret". There's a wealth of recordings that have never been released due to the NASA thing. They hope to put together a compilation at some time in the future. The short lived live act was a combination of Kabokie Cabaret and Sonic Assault.

(1995-96) Frank Mussara (Drums)

(1995-96) Craig Vandalay (Bass, Stick)

1992-1993 The Fourteenth Floor

The jam session that went on for a little over a year. The Fourteenth Floor has been making music in a secret bunker for almost 20 years. This project was also classified Top Secret. The league night is now on Wednesday.

1994-1997 Einstein's Secret Orchestra (ESO)

ESO started off where Venus Envy left off. "Brainrot Radio" on WCSB 89.3 Cleveland was Chas, Dave, and Danny. Those 3 with other guests did years of radio theater. After 7 years of that format, Chas and Dave decided to bring up their instruments and improv live on the air. Joining them was Michelle as well as other guests. Danny left. Keith was one of their frequent guests as were Todd and Jason. Starting off with a wide range of obscure covers, a few of Chas and Dave's songs, and improv "space jazz" any variation of those listed below would play live on WCSB, Thursday nights. Subsequently ESO became a live on stage act as well. In 1996, Keith left the act and has on rare occasion played with them since. Todd and Jason had both dropped out of the project well before this point. The band stopped operations in 2003.

1996-1998 Skin For Skin

This was a cry for help for all the musicians involved. There were fights to see who was going to have the next argument with who. Good hard powerpop with matching bowling shirts. Lots of solid recorings that have still not been released. MTV's top pick for local talent in 1997.

(1996) James Allen (Bass, vocals)

(1997-1998) Duane Hunt (Bass, vocals)

Keith Kofron (Guitar, accordion, vocals)

1998 Cowshit Conspiracy Revival

Country music from the heart of the city. Mel Tilis and Buck Owens being gang raped by the Residents and The Who on the way to an art bar. The Rightous Brothers should be very afraid cause their's is coming next and this time Dotty West will be doing the all the talkin'. No gigs, no recordings, no evidence, no one got hurt and the cops only showed up one time (without incident).

P.S. Ok, we were wrong. Mike was recording the whole thing all along... He's like that, don't pay that no never mind.

John Jones (Drums, vocals)

Mike Haley (Guitar, bass, vocals)

Keith Kofron (Guitar, bass, vocals)

1998-2001 Freak Show And Barnyard Hoedown

There is no band!!! Keith's first attempt to put together a full recording/studio only project. Started in Cleveland after Jonhie quit the band a day before a Skin 4 Skin recording session. Keith and John decided to still record. The tracked songs were shelved. Keith decided to move to Florida and mixed down John's drums to 2 tracks and loaded them on his Mac. Starting in Cleveland and continuing in Tampa, he worked on tracks in his studio playing all the parts around the drums. Soon after moving to Tampa, Keith hooked up with Bob. He played on much of the recording playing lead guitar and bass on one track. Tom and Paul play on one song each. Don and Keith mailed several tracks back and forth to complete 2 songs. Don produces the Alex Harvey cover of "Faith Healer"
