The collective had worked alongside one another in different projects and other bands for many years. However when Christina Poupoutsi joined up with the ex-psychedelic " Magic mushroom bands" Jim Lacey & Craig Twining with the Space rock band Peyote Mothership in 2006 their working relationships bloomed .
The Higher Craft was born. The Band have collated a good few songs/trks in the short time from the initial jams during rehearsals, and are planning on an EP release late spring this year 2008. The Higher Craft have also had air play on Aural Innovations & Banbury music radios space rock sunday shows. THC are playing live this year at the Sonic world festival in the UK, along side artists such as ex-Hawkwinds Bass monster Alan Davey & Harvey Bainbridge.
An album will manifest late this year. The concept and imagery of the band is based upon Alice in Wonderland & with musical inf luences such as Jefferson Airplane, 60's psychedelic rock & touches of British punk. Many musical influences amongst the collective cook a brew of tea sweet but strong. Ultimately the band create in free form expressional jams whereby christina's poetry and songs are incorporated to make the music into songs.
