"Water Color Day" (2010) is the second solo album for singer - songwriter Seth Swirsky (Co-leader and main writing force behind The Red Button). Seth is most recognized for his prominent abilities to write memorable60's and 70's style classic pop melodies with a fresh new feel. Prior to starting his solo career Seth was a staff songwriter for EMI and wrote numerous worldwide hits for a wide range of bands with more than 30 Gold and Platinum records to his credit. "Water Color Day" is an amazing album with 18 brilliant breath-taking baroque style melodic pop delacacies of a sui generis nature; that will gloriously fulfill your listening needs from sunrise-to-sunset; with luscious melodramatic lyrics coupled with sound effects and elaborate layers of overdubbed vocal harmonies, and soaring melodies full of jangle and shine; from the sunny Paul McCartney styled "Watercolor Day" and "Movie Set"; Rick Gallego (Cloud Eleven) inspired "Fading Again"; to "Summer In Her Hair" and "She's Doing Fine" in the familiar sound of The Beach Boy's (Brian Wilson) most influential "Pet Sounds". "Stay" and "Twenty Minutes To Myself" have a sophisticated Bacharach styled sound. "Living Room" and "Song For Heather" have a nice subtle acoustic feel in a contemporay surrounding. "Distracted" delivers a more jazzier orchestrated sound. Whislt, "Sand Dollars" takes on a more whimsical nursey ryhme approach. Amen (co-written by Rick Gallego) is a smooth structured heavenly song that brings the album to a beautiful inspirational finish; proceeded by a quirky 0:34 "Mashed Potato" banjo incerpt for a jubilant closure.
"Water Color Day" is an extraordinarily superb album, which has already set sail as one of the most highly noted new releases for 2010, which will no doubt be a glorified pop classic over the many years to come!
