The Britannicas self titled 2010 debut album draws its inspiration from classic 1960s British and American style jangly hook laden pop music; embellished into modishly enhanced and stylistic forms of International pop, rock and folk; producing a more multifarious sound. The CD consist of 12 tracks filled with strong melodies, smooth crisp vocal harmonies and prominent guitar riffs in a beautiful arrangement of songs; which have been precisely manipulated to perfection in a lush state-of-the-art production by an eminent and brilliant trio of seasoned songwriters, multi-instrumentalists and gifted vocalist; Magnus Karlsson (Happydeadmen, The Charade - Sweden), Herb Eimerman (Nerk Twins - USA) and Joe Algeri (Jack & The Beanstalk - Australia). These 3 distinguishmusicians have all recorded in their own respective home studios and have shared their tracks across the pond; managing to spangle the old school with a shimmering palette of classic era pop music with the jingle jangle of "Those Good Vibrations", "Don't Go Back" and "Stars"; while rockin the garage with "The Girl From Malasana"; the powerpop of "Baby Say Yeah Yeah" and "One Of Those Nights; the more sombre folkiness of "Blue Sky Grey" and "Love Trap"; to bringing the album to a core with the outer-wordly psychedelia of "The Other Side", which exquisitely embraces the counterculture with an eminence of a belief that sendsforth a beautiful peaceful feeling; that makes you want to start the album all over and listen to it again! The Britannicas is a spectacular album..highly recommend!
