" Honeymoon On Mars" instantly jump starts the listeners attention with the titled track delivered in a dynamic blast from another world, that is refreshing and highly enjoyable. This album offers much to be appreciated in a sui generis sense and sounding like no other. Followed by a variety of songs which are difficult to sort individually, as the general flow of this album divergently breaks away from the informality of the conventional pop influenced songs, while distinctively assimilating the post punk style music which originated in the UK during the late 70's, combined with classic rock and a touch of psychedelic trance in experimental and mod subculture forms. Where as, some of the songs on this album consist of strong variables and tonal characteristics with random pulses, choppy rhythms and fast tempos, with the sound of drum machines and hammond organ keyboard stop and start structures and melodies, while intermixing a variety of irregular synthesized new wave forms producing a purely electric vibration. Lyrically, some of the songs are of a progressed and abstract nature delivered in suburban and baritone style vocals singing above and below the bass adding great depth that gives it a cold wave feel, while frequently changing the notes and variance in rythms up and down throughout, keeping the songs punchy and vibrant! "Honeymoon On Mars" is a very twitchy sounding arrangement of songs that are all age appropriate, from the new teen fads to aged admirers of the periodic sounds of the past. I highly recommend this CD to those of you looking for music that stands alone with a rejuvenated sound of it's own!
